It was a Happy New Year

This holiday has never meant so much to me as it did this year!  I can't say how I enjoyed every minute...lots of family, decorating, cooking,  and so much more to look forward to.

To the best new year to come!

My idea was 9 appetizers (2009) from nine countries (for variety).  After I realized it I didn't really plan for anyone to come over I cut it back to this fun menu:

Apricot Kielbasa Bites
Baked Seasoned Won-tons with crab dip
Spicy Chicken Queso
Pierogies with a Sour Cream Dollup
Dolmas in Lemon Sauce
Boneless Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Colored Sugar Cookies
Moist Double Layer Chocolate Cake

The east coast New Year got us started on the Sugar Cookie Decorating, kid perfection not mom perfection.........

Tavius'

Jasmin's

Skyleigh's

We sang Happy Birthday to the New Year!!

Then the party poppers, pots and spoons and some dancing!

Happy New Year!

Then we attempted relaxing the 2 and 4 year old up at midnight....

Off to bed!!

  1. Haha...LOVE the spa treatment, lol. What a CUTE idea and too funny too. It truly looks like an ideal way to bring in the New Year. You're blessed with a beautiful family. And on the post above, your day looks super fun! I'm sure Tavius loves that 4 wheeler! I wish we could have hopped over there really quick for that day out.

Your menu of appetizers sounds delicious! ...especially the pierogies! yummm ;)
